    • Have information about student experiences with subjects

Have a section on the page that invites students to post feedback and comments about their subjects in order to gain a student perspective on the subject. Also, the LMS app is not compatible with Nokia Windows phones, so perhaps increasing compatibility for mobile devices would allow easier access to resources and timetabling etc.

        • Link to Key Dates

I suggest the link to Key Dates be changed to http://enrolment.unimelb.edu.au/dates/enrolment-dates as this is a student-friendly page which lists more relevant info. Thanks.

            • Have a link to Unicard Webprint

It would be much easier to send a print job if the my.unimelb page has a direct link to unicard webprint since I won't have to search for the web address.

Combine all student materials into a single location rather than having to check multiple sites. At the moment there is quite a lot of redundancy between these sites

                      • Have a clubs and societies page

I think all aspects of university life should be available on the lms, not just the academic side. There should be a club and societies page, and a calender that shows all the different events that go on at school instead of having us look for hte clubs on facebook and using that system instead of the university one.

                          • Social component

Nowadays, when people need help, they go to blog posts, reviews, comments, etc. It would be nice to have this type of social component in the site where students can interact with each other, or with university staff to:

                            - Ask recommendations about subjects.
                            - Reviews about university coffee shops, toilets, etc.
                            - Report problems like broken power points, unclean project rooms, etc.
                            - Ask general questions like how to get a specific certificate.

This way students may get a quicker response when finding help since the answer could already be there or another student could address the query rapidly.…

My student ID card is expiring in a few days and I need it replaced as I'm still going with the same RHD studies. Please bring your expired student card along with you.". However, at Stop1 I was told I needed to upload a photo to…

The Victorian Medical Women’s Society (Est. 1896) is writing to you requesting that additional information and indications of support be placed on the university/department website for your students who are considering having a family, have dependents already, are breast feeding, or students who are carers.

Although your university/department offers support for students who approach departmental staff directly for such information, our members have alerted us to the need for further of formal, consistent, practical, and easily accessible advice regarding their enrolment, student rights, and support services offered by the university…

                                  Dear Anne,

Thank you for your feedback to students.unimelb – we greatly appreciate the time you’ve taken to provide your thoughts and suggestions. We will be taking this on board to improve our existing web pages regarding studying as a parent.

The existing page (http://students.unimelb.edu.au/balance/studying-as-a-parent) covers a few of the messages you have suggested, while other services such as Financial Support and Health Services house their own information on their respective websites, all of which are linked on students.unimelb in the ‘Balance my Life’ section (http://students.unimelb.edu.au/balance). In the meantime, we hope any student that approach the Victorian Medial Women’s Society seeking this information can be redirected to these webpages.

Thank you again for your considered feedback.

                                  The students.unimelb team.

                                • More course/discipline specific resources and content

Increasing the number of resources, guides, events etc. specific to each discipline within the university would allow students to more easily access what's most useful and relevant for them.

                                        • User unfriendly website - difficult to assess specifics

Your website brings me all over without giving me any idea, instruction, direct link to how I can find out about the school fees, how to go about paying for it, how can I access my tutorials. Even your email instructions do not seem to lead me anywhere. Perhaps a direct link for student to enter and find their tutorials and relavant information will be great.

                                            Hi Angeline,

Thank you for providing feedback to students.unimelb – your time and thoughts are appreciated. We are sorry to hear that you have had a frustrating experience navigating our pages and will take your feedback into consideration.

Our ‘Admin’ page of the website has a couple of sections that may be of interest to you. We have designed this page to help direct students to administrative information regarding fees and enrolment, as well as direct links to class and admin managements systems such as my.unimelb and the LMS (which houses tutorial information). Please take a look through this directory and see if you can find the information you are looking for: http://students.unimelb.edu.au/admin

If you are a new student, there is also a handy guide to help you navigate the first five weeks of semester, which also explains things like fees and tutorials. You can check it out here: http://students.unimelb.edu.au/explore/first-five
